The form has gone stiff, or you are kneeling to a rule that no longer loves you. Question it without setting the whole church on fire. Tradition is a recipe: keep what still feeds, compost what has gone bitter, and do not confuse the cookbook with the meal.

History

Waite renamed the Pope the Hierophant — initiator rather than monarch — and Smith gave him the triple crown, crossed keys at his feet, and two acolytes. His right hand blesses with two fingers raised, two lowered, bridging heaven and the workbench. Golden Dawn assigned him Taurus: slow, faithful, stubbornly communal wisdom.
