Belonging is the gift: to yourself, to a place, to a life that finally fits. Take the bow; then, when you are ready, the Fool’s road will be there again, kinder.

You are circling the last inch and calling it humility, or the wreath is incomplete and you are pretending the dance is over. Either way, finish the true thing — the conversation, the craft, the leaving. The World reversed is rarely failure; it is a completion that wants one more honest step before the music can rest.

History

A dancer, lightly veiled, holds two wands inside an oval wreath; in the corners return the four living creatures of the Wheel. Waite’s World is the soul at home in all elements. Smith’s purple wrap spirals like a breath around the body. Sometimes titled the Universe, it is the last card only until you shuffle again.
