18 · The Path at Night
The Moon
This stage
Not everything is clear, and forcing clarity will only scare the crayfish back under. Walk the path you can see. Dreams, hunches, and moods are data tonight, not enemies. Keep a lantern and do not mock what the dark is trying to say. Instinct is older than your last good argument.
How we got here
The Star gave you enough light to move. The Moon is the part of the road that light cannot flatten — the tide, the dream, the animal knowing.
Where this leads
Fog lifts. The Sun is the clearing: a simple joy, a body in good weather, the right to be seen without a thesis.
Upright
the in-between · dreams · instinct
Not everything is clear, and forcing clarity will only scare the crayfish back under. Walk the path you can see — between the towers, beside the water — and let the rest arrive as it will. Dreams, hunches, and moods are data tonight, not enemies. Keep a lantern and do not mock what the dark is trying to say.
Reversed
fog lifting · anxiety easing · denying the tide
The fog may be thinning, which is a mercy: names are returning to things. Or you are calling every shadow a prophecy. Check the body (sleep, salt, daylight) before you believe the worst story. The Moon reversed often asks for a little more earth under the vision.
On the card
Crayfish
The old self climbing out of the pool. Instinct, not argument.
Dog and wolf
Tame and wild answering the same tide. Both are yours.
Two towers
A path between known walls, into what is not yet fact.
Fifteen drops
Light that does not flatten. Some seeing is lunar on purpose.
When it shows up
This looks like a dream that will not leave, a foggy week, or a hunch you should walk beside rather than solve.
History
A face in the full moon sheds fifteen yods of light. A crayfish climbs from a pool — the primitive self emerging — while a dog and a wolf bay, tame and wild answering the same tide, and a path runs between two towers into distance. Waite gave this to Pisces, the long walk through what is not yet fact; Smith’s crayfish is the image you should remember.
If you want to sit with it
What is the dark trying to say that daylight keeps interrupting?
Optional. Nothing is saved.
You walked through the fog. The light is different now — clearer, warmer, yours.
